Jennifer Love Hewitt is to direct her first feature film 'Wail Till Helen Comes'.

The 'Ghost Whisperer' actress - who has also gone behind the camera for several episodes of the show - will direct and produce the ghost story, which tells the tale of a family who move in to a strange house that turns out to be haunted.

The Script - which has been adapted from the novel of the same name by Mary Downing Hahn - will focus on a 12-year-old girl, the eldest of three children who discovers the ghost of a young female who may be a danger to the family.

A.J. Rinella. Victoria Sanchez Mandrykis will co-produce the movie with Jennifer while Manual Freedman will executive produce.

Jennifer is currently looking for a cast and is expecting to start filming this summer.

The actress received her first Golden Globe Awards nomination this year for best actress performance in a miniseries or motion picture made for television for her role in the made-for-TV movie, 'The Client List' but lost out to Clare Danes in 'Temple Grandin'.
