Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg are to star in 'American Ultra'.

The 'Snow White and the Huntsman' actress and the 'Social Network' actor - who previously starred together in 2009 movie 'Adventureland' - will take the lead roles of a stoner and his girlfriend in the action comedy, which is being directed by 'Project X' filmmaker Nima Nourizadeh.

The movie sees the quiet lives of Mike (Eisenberg), an unmotivated stoner, and his girlfriend Phoebe (Stewart) disrupted when his past comes back to haunt him, resulting in him becoming the target of a government operation to wipe him out.

Co-producer Anthony Bregman said of the film: ''Simply put, 'American Ultra' will be the most fun you can possibly have in a movie theatre without the use of drugs, fireworks or canola oil.''

Max Landis has penned the script, and David Alpert and Britton Rizzio will also serve as co-producers.

Shooting on 'American Ultra' is scheduled to begin in April 2014.

Stewart recently finished working on 'Camp X-Ray' and 'Sils Maria', while Eisenberg was most recently seen in 'Now You See Me' and has both 'The Double' and 'Night Moves' awaiting release.
