A music industry executive who worked with acts including Jessica Simpson and the Spice Girls has died after a shooting in Los Angeles.
John Atterberry was taken to the city's Cedars-Sinai hospital after he was shot in the face and neck three times while driving in his car on Friday (09Dec11).
The 40 year old had remained in critical condition until Monday (12Dec11) when he was pronounced dead.
The gunman, identified as 26-year-old Tyler Brehm, was said to have opened fire at a number of passing cars on Hollywood's famed Vine Street before he was killed by police.
Atterberry broke into the industry at Tabu Records and was later employed at Death Row Records, before working with Simpson and the Spice Girls at Infusion Music Group.
