Girls Gone Wild founder JOE FRANCIS has been ordered to pay casino boss Steve Wynn another $20 million (£12.5 million) on top of his previous settlement in their longrunning legal dispute.
The soft porn boss was taken to court to answer accusations of slander after Francis publicly repeated claims that Wynn had threatened to kill him in an email.
On Monday (10Sep12), a jury awarded Wynn a $20 million (£12.5 million) settlement, and the casino mogul was allowed to seek punitive damages.
The case went back to court in Los Angeles on Tuesday (11Sep12), and the jury awarded Wynn another $20 million (£12.5 million) - meaning Francis could be forced to hand over $40 million (£25 million) to his adversary.
Francis has opened up about his disappointment in a post on his website, and vowed to continue his legal fight by appealing the verdict.
He writes, "I am incredibly disappointed the jury grossly misinterpreted the facts presented in the courtroom... I still maintain that my life was endangered and I plan on appealing this verdict. One day the public will see that I am the real victim here and not Steve Wynn. I am strengthened by the support of my friends and will stay committed to telling the truth."
