Incarcerated Girls Gone Wild founder JOE FRANCIS has managed to save his Bel Air, California mansion from foreclosure after bank bosses accused him of falling behind on his mortgage payments.

The adult filmmaker had reportedly racked up debts of almost $128,000 (£85,330), prompting JPMorgan Chase executives to begin legal proceedings in September (13), to claim ownership of his home.

However, Francis insisted his accountant was to blame for his cash problems and, after settling the situation with the financiers, he was allowed to keep his luxury home, reports Tmz.com.

The 40 year old, who is close family friends with Kim Kardashian and her clan, has been behind bars since August (13), when he was sentenced to 270 days in jail for a 2011 attack on a woman at his Hollywood home. It is not clear whether the pad is the same property which went into foreclosure.

The problems with his Bel Air mansion aren't the only money issues Francis has had to face this year (13) - company bosses at Girls Gone Wild filed for bankruptcy in February (13).
