Former NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK singer Joey McIntyre has penned a tune about Britney Spears on his latest solo album.

The 31-year-old actor and singer refers to the 22-year-old pop babe and her ex-love Justin Timberlake in his track THIS IS DIFFERENT on his third solo disc 8:09.

Referring to his days as a pop superstar in the chart-topping five-piece in the late '80s and early '90s, McIntyre sings, "Well I was younger I had them coming through the backdoor/ Then I found my lovers on the dance floor /Now I'm older and I'm looking for something more (This is different) /Girl I know you're bigger than Madonna/ To be you boyfriend it would be a honour."

Despite not mentioning the TOXIC singer's name, he refers to star's first number one hit HIT ME BABY ONE TIME and pinpoints her ex-love as being a third grader (ages 7-8) - the grade the 'N Sync hunk would have been at the height of NKOTB's fame.

The lyrics read, "Hit me baby one more time, And move your body closer, can't you read my mind/ Now you've got me/ I know about your ex and money he made/ He was singing my songs in the 3rd grade/ So glad you finally said bye-bye."

Despite his romantic lyrics about Spears, McIntyre tied the knot with real-estate agent BARRETT WILLIAMS last summer (03).
