Disgraced designer John Galliano is set to sit down for his first Tv interview since he was axed as the boss of French fashion house Christian Dior over an anti-Semitic rant.

Galliano's fall from grace came after he was arrested for launching into a racist tirade at a couple during a night out in France in 2011, which cost him his job as head designer at the brand later that year (11).

He has struggled to regain his position in the fashion world, but was handed a temporary role with Oscar de la Renta last year (12). Now de la Renta has given him another boost by organising an in-depth interview with U.S. newsman Charlie Rose so the designer can explain his actions in full.

Galliano's representative Liz Rosenberg says, "Charlie Rose has a very close relationship with Oscar. Oscar had been talking to John about the possibility of doing an interview with Charlie. It seemed like a good platform for John to get his story across."

Galliano recently opened up in a print interview with Vanity Fair magazine, admitting he was physically sick when he watched video footage of his rant.
