Actor John Goodman has shed more than 100lbs but insists he isn't going ''nuts'' with his fitness regime.
John Goodman thinks he was "wasting" energy before losing weight.
The actor has shed over 100lbs and admits he is delighted by the results, but is not going "nuts" with his diet and six-days-a-week exercise regime.
He said: "I know it sounds sappy, but it was a waste. It takes a lot of creative energy to sit on your ass and figure out what you're going to eat next ... I wanted to live life better.
"I'm breaking a sweat but I'm not going nuts."
However, the 58-year-old star is now desperate to do some shopping to accommodate his new shape.
He added to People magazine: "I just ordered some nice slacks. I finally got them and they're too big now."
John's health coach Mackie Shilstone is also delighted by the 'Treme' star's transformation.
He said: "He remembers what it feels like to be extremely heavy and it's something he doesn't want again.
"John is very agile. When I see him running I get out of the way! He can be a different type of actor now. He can take on athletic parts."
