John Lydon has spoken out about his infamous bust-up with Kele Okereke - alleging the Bloc Party frontman "fabricated" the incident to promote a new album.
The former Sex Pistols frontman hit the headlines in July, 2008 after Okereke claimed he was racially abused during a scuffle with Lydon and his entourage backstage at the Summercase festival in Barcelona, Spain.
Lydon furiously denied there was any racial element to the incident - and now he's accused Okereke of inventing the entire confrontation to garner publicity for Bloc Party's 2008 record, Intimacy.
He tells British newspaper The Independent, "He had an album coming out, and totally fabricated the incident."
