Harry Styles will turn to acting when he leaves One Direction.

The 21-year-old singer will reportedly be the next member of the group to leave - following Zayn Malik's departure in March - and has his sights set on a new career after being ''besieged with movie offers''.

A source said: ''The others have known for a long time that Harry would go solo. It has always been his plan. One Direction's breakup has been building for a long time. They were never meant to stay together this long.''

Another insider said: ''He's been besieged with movie offers and commercial opportunities.''

The 'Best Song Ever' hitmaker's record label boss Simon Cowell is also aware of his plans and has organised a serious chat with Harry and bandmates Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, who are currently on a world tour, later this month before they commit to any more contracts.

The source told Life & Style magazine: ''Simon wants them to think long and hard about how committed they are to doing another world tour next year. They might not even finish up this tour and if they do, it will definitely be their farewell tour.''
