John Mayer made one fan's dream come true at a concert on Sunday (21Feb10), inviting the youngster onstage to play guitar with him.
The Daughters hitmaker was performing at Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center in Pennsylvania when he noticed a boy holding up a banner reading, 'Can I please play Belief with you?'
Mayer asked young Austin on to the stage, and the pair played the track together - and the singer was stunned by the 11 year old's talent.
He told Austin, “That’s my man! That’s your guitar, that’s yours,” before handing the boy his instrument.
And Austin's mum is full of praise for Mayer: “He made an 11 year old’s dream come true. John gave him the guitar after the show and we needed security to get out of the stadium. It is touching. I just wanted to thank John for pulling through for Austin.”
