John Mccain - Meghan Mccain Hits Back At Beck Over 'Naked' Commercial
Meghan Mccain, the American columnist and daughter of former presidential candidate John McCain, has hit back at Fox's Glenn Beck who slammed the 26-year-old for doing a half-naked public service announcement. Meghan Mccain was promoting skin cancer prevention in the commercial, but Beck said the bare-shouldered appearance had made him want to vomit, reports Yahoo News.
In an open letter to the outspoken broadcaster, MCCain hit back, saying, "The thing is, Glenn, I wasn't really naked and I know the idea of me being naked caused you to vomit on your radio show for 10 minutes". In response to Beck's jibe that she should have covered up, MCCain said, "You suggested I should wear a burqa, since you believe that's probably the only clothing that could possibly fit me. By the way, you should really see a doctor because it isn't normal to vomit for that long". MCCain, the 26-year-old author of 'Dirty Sex Politics', claimed that the commercial had successfully drawn attention to the skin cancer prevention movement. Meghan even took to her Twitter page to defend the commercial, saying, "Pundits in DC can calm themselves. I filmed a skin cancer Psa in a strapless juicy tube dress. All you can see is my collar bone".
Meghan Mccain's mother Cindy came to the defence of her daughter by calling for an end to Beck's "vitriol and hate". Speaking on her Twitter page she added, "I'm so glad Glenn Beck is leaving Fox".
