The teenage son of actor John Travolta has died after suffering a seizure while on a family holiday.
Jett Travolta, 16, was found unconscious at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island by a house caretaker and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The teenager, the eldest child of Travolta and wife Kelly Preston, had a history of seizures, which his mother had attributed to a rare blood disorder known as Kawasaki disease.
Travolta's lawyer Michael Ossi confirmed the tragic news, adding all attempts were made to revive Jett at the scene but were unsuccessful.
"Jett Travolta was happy every day of his life, Mr and Mrs Travolta were great parents and did all they could to make sure their children were happy and we are deeply saddened at what occurred," he went on.
A family spokesman later said that Jett's death was "out of the blue" and added it was the "worst day of John's life."
"Just say a prayer for them. That's all you can do at this point," he commented.
Travolta and Kelly Preston also have a daughter, Ella Blue, aged eight.
