Late rock legend Johnny Cash's step-daughter CARLENE CASH has been jailed in America - after reportedly failing a drugs test.

Officials at Tennessee's Sumner County Jail refused to reveal why Carter, 48, was being held there, but local TV network WTVF-TV reported her bond had been revoked because she failed a drug test.

Carter, the daughter of singers JUNE CARTER CASH and CARL SMITH was charged in 2002 after she used her late boyfriend's identity to obtain prescription drugs.

She pleaded no contest in September '03 and was sentenced to 18 months' probation.

She now faces between two and 12 years imprisonment.

I find that ironic that you can go to Sumner County Sheriff and look up former and current inmates and she's not listed. Its another one of those, if you are a celebrity or kin to one you get special treatment. BS. The Cash Kids have always been drug addicts, everyone knows that.
