Johnny Depp is ''way cooler than you think''.

The 50-year-old actor filmed 'The Lone Ranger' with Armie Hammer, 26, and the younger actor says working with Johnny was better than anything he could ever have imagined.

Speaking at the 'Lone Ranger' premiere at the Odeon, Leicester Square in London on Sunday (21.07.13), Armie exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''Working with Johnny was exactly how you would think except better because he's cooler than you think.''

While Armie - who brought his wife Elizabeth Chambers along to the premiere as his date - was proficient at horseriding before shooting the action western, he admitted some of the stunts were a struggle for him.

He explained: ''I already knew how to ride a horse so I was lucky I had a baseline but it's difficult learning how to ride a horse through a moving train.

''Some of the harder stuff to get through was when we were buried in the desert up to our necks. Yeah, you'll see. We were buried up to our necks for probably a day and a half.''

Director Gore Verbinsky also attended the premiere, along with co-stars Ruth Wilson, Tom Wilkinson and Harry Treadaway.

Other celebrities included former 'Made In Chelsea' star Kimberley Garner, singer Ashley Roberts and Diana Vickers, model Amber Le Bon and former 'X Factor' star Jade Ellis.
