Twitter ''scares the hell'' out of Liam Hemsworth.

The 'Paranoia' actor recently joined the micro blogging site but admitted he has no plans to share details of his personal life on it because he wants to maintain his privacy.

He told E! News: ''On Twitter I don't share anything personal. I try to keep as much of my personal life to myself, and I don't feel the need to go out and show the world what's happening in my life every second.

''I think it's a good chance to connect with fans in a different way and give fans an inside look on films that you do. But it's very new to me and it scares the hell out of me.''

Liam jokingly added: ''No shirtless selfies.''

Along with being terrified of Twitter, Liam, 23 - who is engaged to Miley Cyrus - recently admitted he finds sex scenes ''scary'' and saud filming bedroom scenes with Johnny Depp's girlfriend Amber Heard for 'Paranoia' was rather daunting because of all the crew members on set.

He explained: ''Intimate scenes are always pretty scary. Being intimate with someone in front of a lot of people, it's hard to let go and be free in the scene.''

Liam also revealed that the film's cast and crew pulled a naughty prank on him while shooting the steamy scenes.

He said: ''I get into the bed and they say, 'Action'. Then, I turn over and I grab what I thought was Amber's arm and it was a giant [sex toy]. It was big ... a black one. I pulled it out and everyone was in on [the joke] except me.''
