New Edition star Johnny Gill's former record label boss has dropped a defamation suit against the singer, and now plans to finish the album they started together.
Chief Executive Officer of Notifi Records Ira DeWitt launched a legal battle against the singer earlier this month (Aug11) after Gill accused her of leaking an unfinished track on the Internet.
Gill took to his Twitter.com account to vent his frustration and called DeWitt "f**king nuts" and "deranged" - comments which the music executive felt damaged her reputation.
The pair has put the past behind them - DeWitt has agreed to drop the suit and complete work on Gill's next album.
She tells Tmz.com, "I'm very happy to put this dispute behind us and I'm confident that Gill's loyal fans will be thrilled with the final product."
Gill is also eager about moving forward with the label, again taking to the social networking site to this time express regret over the situation which previously transpired. He writes, "I'm elated to continue this journey that I've started with Ira and Notifi Records...Through conflict we found a resolution, and not to mention I've found my friend again."
