Rocker Jon Bon Jovi Picked Up An Honorary Degree From Rutgers University In His Native New Jersey On Thursday (21may15).
The Bon Jovi frontman was presented with a Doctor of Letters degree from Rutgers University chancellor Phoebe A. Haddon during a Convocation and Graduate Commencement ceremony held at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden.
The musician marked the prestigious occasion by debuting a new song, titled Reunion, for the 3,000-strong audience, and told students and their families he wrote the tune specifically for the Rutgers Class of 2015.
Addressing the graduates, Bon Jovi said, "Life is a long, bumpy road, but that makes for an exciting ride. Choose a direction and if the road turns - turn! If there is a fork in the road - take it! It's OK to map out your future... but do it in pencil."
