Jonah Hill - Johah Jonah Hill Oscar Nomination Makes Brad Pitt A Happy Man
Brad Pitt couldn't be happier after baseball flick 'Moneyball' found itself up for six nominations for the forthcoming Academy Awards, with the 48 year-old seeking to share the praise for the film which he has a producer for as well as a leading actor credit. Pitt will be doing battle in the Best Actor category against old friend George Clooney as well as Demian Bichir, Jean Dujardin and Gary Oldman, but he instead chose to concentrate on the success of those around him, giving shout outs to pal Clooney and 'Moneyball' co-star Jonah Hill as well as 'Tree Of Life,' another Pitt-starring flick which also found itself in among the nominations.
"We're ecstatic over here. It means so much considering this film was just dead on the rocks two years ago," MTV reports him telling 'The Today Show,' "It took a lot of people to get it to the screen. It's a great honor. I'm really happy," going on to gush how much it meant for him for Hill and 'The Tree Of Life' to also be included "I'm so happy for Jonah Hill, I can't tell you. I'm doubly happy that 'Tree of Life' made it in there, we thought we were all but forgotten; just excited for [director and nominee] Terry Malick."
Finally concentrating on his own solo achievement, Pitt looked ahead to another duel with Clooney for the Best Actor role, saying "I'm sure we'll be exchanging many good words later, it's more fun to have a friend there and no one does it better than George. I say give him all the trophies, and when you run out of trophies, make some new ones and give him those too".
