A new trailer for the upcoming movie, Hunger Games was released yesterday (February 2, 2012) and two of the film's stars, Josh Hutcherson (who plays Peeta Mellark and Jennifer Lawrence (who plays Katniss Everdeen)have been talking to MTV about the pressures of making the movie, one of the most hyped cinematic releases of recent years. Hutcherson said that he had managed to avoid most of the online chatter regarding the film, saying "I got a Facebook, like, three days ago. I don't do the Internets.I had friends tell me what people were saying online; I just personally don't go on there that much."
The movie is based on the first of a trilogy of books written by Suzanne Collins and is scheduled for release in March 2012. The story s set in a post-apocalytic society in which children are selected at random to fight to the death, live on television. The new trailer focuses on Katniss Everdeen's offer to take the place of her younger sister, whose name is called out as the next participant in the ruthless battle. The trailer reveals a stylized set and costume design, with snippets of performances from the show's other stars, including Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket.
Other cast members, such as Liam Hemsworth, who plays Gale Hawthorne also feature in this and in earlier trailers that have been released as teasers for eager audiences, keen for a sneak preview of the movie.
