Brit award-winning singer Joss Stone is set to become Cadbury's new Flake girl, according to reports.

The 20-year-old will star in a new series of adverts due to air in early 2008, the Sunday Mirror says.

In the adverts the You Had Me singer will be in a recording studio where she sings to herself the chocolate bar's iconic strap line: "Only the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate."

The Cadbury's Flake adverts go back to the late 1950s and have featured former Miss World Eva Reuber-Staier and, most recently, model Alyssa Sutherland.

"The idea was to reference the old adverts but bring a new feel to them. Joss was chosen because she is sexy but in a young, fresh way," a Cadbury's source told the Sunday Mirror.

"Instead of her doing a big version of the advert, it will be her eating the bar, remembering the song and singing it to herself.

"Joss is funky and spontaneous rather than sultry."
