Marilu Henner, the 58-year-old American actress best known for her role in the sitcom 'Taxi', is among the seven judges who will decide the next 'Miss America', reports the Associated Press. Henner will join 'The View' host Joy Behar, country singer Mark Mills, and 'Desperate Housewives' creator MARC CHERRY on the panel.
The beauty pageant, now in its 90th year, will air live on the ABC network on January 15th 2010. Dancing With The Stars choreographer TONY DOVOLANI and shoe designer TARYN ROSE will also be on the panel for the ceremony, which takes place at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The judges line-up was revealed on yesterday's (8th December 2010) episode of 'The View' and CHRIS HARRISON and Brooke Burke were confirmed to be this year's hosts. Henner, a five-time Golden Globe nominee, and the rest of the panel will be expected to assess the 53 beauty queens in the categories of 'swimsuit', 'evening gown', 'talent' and 'interview'.
The triumphant 'beauty' will take the place of CARESSA CAMERON from Fredericksburg, who was crowned Miss America 2010 earlier this year.
