Cara Delevingne wants a cameo role in the 'Absolutely Fabulous' movie.

The 22-year-old beauty is eager to star in the much-anticipated film, in a move that would see her follow in the footsteps of Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, both of whom appeared in the popular TV sitcom.

Cara is a huge fan of the show - which was created by comedian Jennifer Saunders - about two selfish middle-aged women.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Jennifer has not yet finalised the script, which will see her resume her role as Edina and Joanna Lumley play Patsy.

''Fashion world stars are bound to be making cameos.''

Earlier this month, Jennifer Saunders confirmed she'd finished the first draft of the 'Absolutely Fabulous' movie script.

The 56-year-old star, who has been working on the script for the past 12 months, said she felt ''euphoric'' after finishing writing.

She said: ''I've finished the first draft. I'm feeling euphoric.

''My proper New Year's resolution is to do the film, otherwise it'll be a pointless year of procrastination.''

In addition to Jennifer and Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha and June Whitfield will also be returning to their original roles for the movie.
