Moore's Deja Vu Over Single Man Scenes
Julianne Moore felt a sense of deja vu while she was filming new movie A SINGLE MAN - because the storyline reflected her own life at college.
The movie tells the story of a gay college professor, played by Oscar-nominated Colin Firth, who loses his lover in a car crash.
He is comforted by his best friend, played by Moore, and their confused relationship eventually sees the troubled pair kiss.
And Moore admits the scene reminded her of her early life as a student, when she became intimate with her own gay best friend.
She says, "It's a familiar situation when a woman and gay man are best friends. The woman can suddenly think: 'If you love me this much, then why can't you be my boyfriend?' I do remember at college in a dorm, I used to make out with a guy. I was 18 and he was probably 20. He was gay but he'd make out with me anyway. Which at 18, I thought was confusing."
