Junip Announce Spring 2013 Tour Plus Self-titled Album Released April 22nd 2013

With Your Life Your Call we present to you the the second, final installment in a two-part series leading up to the release of Junip's sophomore self-titled release on April 21rd.
Director Mikel Cee Karlsson explains: "The idea was to make a short film divided into two parts where each part is influenced by a separate song but still maintains to create a whole. The videos tell the story of a tormented old man, stuck in a monotonous, loveless relationship. A situation that perhaps was not his choice, or preference to begin with. The old man is simply like all of us, a person influenced by the ideas and beliefs of others which also, unavoidably, influences his choices in life. This realization is what he eventually tries to break free from.
The story is partly told on a subconscious level where fragments of memory along with subjective fears and dreams are manifested, and just as relevant as anything else in the "real world" to comprehend the characters, and their actions. It is the experience of life in all it's dark and comical absurdity."
Your Life Your Call is the second single to be taken from Junip's self-titled forthcoming second album, out April 22nd on City Slang.
With this single Jose Gonzalez, Elias Araya and Tobias Winterkorn immerse your ears in waves of harmonic melodies and navigate you to the dance floor with smooth movements on their synthesizers. While the pulsating beat and overall flow of the track might be a departure for González and crew the message remains poignantly and traditionally steeped in Junip sensitivity.
