Multiple award-winning pop youngster Justin Bieber is set for the Thursday premiere of the video to his new single 'Boyfriend' on MTV. The 18-year-old worked on the track with Mason Levy and Mike Posner who described the studio sessions as "insane". "We'd put on a beat or something, and he goes into a booth, and he freestyles these melodies, and they're crazy".
Bieber rose to fame in 2008 after Scooter Braun came across his YouTube videos and introduced him to Usher. They both soon signed him to their joint label Raymond Braun Media Group. L.A Reid then offered him a recording contract with Island Records and he became a joint venture between the two labels. His leading single 'Baby' from his debut album went on to win multiple awards including Billboard Music Awards' Top Streaming Song, J-14 Teen Icon Awards' Iconic Song and Mtv Video Music Awards' Best New Artist.
'Boyfriend' is a teaser track for album 'Believe' which will be released on June 19th. Posner reveals "[Justin] wants to make something that other people aren't doing right now, and that's what we've achieved."
