Justin Bieber is planning to open a tattoo parlour.

The troubled 'Confident' star - who was arrested in Miami last week for driving under the influence (DUI), driving with an expired license and resisting arrest - is planning to take a break from music and settle in one place with his dad, Jeremy, to open a body art shop.

A source told RadarOnline.com: ''Justin told [manager] Scooter [Braun] and [mentor] Usher he needs to take a break from making music and touring.

''Justin wants to take control of his life and not be out on the road in a different city every other night.

''His short term plans include opening a tattoo parlour with his dad. They have talked about it for a very long time. It's his dream for it to be a very high-end parlor, unlike anything currently out there.''

Justin is a huge fan of tattoos and has over 20 designs including a tiger on his left arm, a rendition of Christ on his leg, a crown on his chest and Hebrew script reading 'Jesus' on his ribcage, an inking both he and his father have.

The 19-year-old star has been taking a break in Panama since his arrest in Miami. He is also said to be planning to move out of his mansion in Calabasas, California, after upsetting locals with his partying and being subject of a current investigation by the local Sheriff's Department following an egging incident of a neighbour's home, which caused up to $20,000 of damage.

Friends say opening a new business will give the young singer something to concentrate on and stop him getting into trouble.

The source added: ''Justin's team is concerned he'll just sit around and do nothing. Continue to party with his buddies. Everyone respects Justin's desire for some down time, but too much idle time is when he typically gets in trouble. He needs structure and a routine.''
