Brad Pitt has been phoning up ex-wife Jennifer Aniston after hearing about her recent engagement to Justin Theroux in the papers.
He seems genuinely pleased for the former 'Friends' star; according to The Mirror, "Brad gave Jen a quick call to say how pleased he was to hear that she was getting married". A lovely thing for an ex to say - he's clearly not one to underestimate the people in his life. He also apparently added that he would 'save the date' for the wedding. "They both laughed", said a source in the publication. "But [he] told her in all seriousness that he was really happy for her and Justin. He wished her luck and told her he hopes they're very happy together". Aniston also wished the 'Killing Them Softly' star all the best with his upcoming nuptials with 'Changeling' actress Angelina Jolie with whom he has six children, three adopted and three biological, and became engaged to in April 2012. Pitt, 48, met Jolie, 37, when they were filming on the set of 'Mr and Mrs Smith' in 2005 while Pitt was still married to Aniston, 43. He soon left Aniston for Jolie after they fell in love.
Aniston had been dating Theroux for over a year before he popped the question on his birthday last Friday (August 10th 2012). A spokesperson said: 'Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage". Despite the news, Jennifer Aniston's engagement ring was nowhere in sight when she returned to work on 'We're The Millers' on Monday (August 13, 2012).
