Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have had relationship counselling.

The Hollywood couple are determined to make more time for each other in 2014, and Justin is adamant their postponed wedding will go ahead next year.

A source told MailOnline.com: ''Jen and Justin love each other, they are fully committed. They had hoped to be married by now but work commitments this year meant their plans went astray.

''They have had some counseling. They both regret not spending more time together this year and they're determined next year will be different.''

The pair will spend Christmas apart - with Jennifer, 44, in Los Angeles with her family and Justin, 42, on the US East coast with his - but they will see 2014 in together on a romantic break to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.

Jennifer has also said she will be temporarily relocating to New York next year to be with her fiancè when he films TV series 'The Leftovers'.

The couple - who got engaged in Summer 2012 - have also decided on a smaller scale affair then they finally tie the knot.

The source added: ''Jen and Justin are looking at it like it's a party for their friends. They've downgraded the scale of their wedding. Justin is adamant it will happen in 2014 but that it will be more, 'Spontaneous and organic' than they'd previously wanted.''

Jennifer has previously said she was in no rush to marry while promoting her recent film 'We're the Millers' this summer.

She said: ''We already feel married. We're really just happy and in love.''
