Rapper Kanye West has notched up six consecutive weeks on top of the US singles chart as his hit GOLD DIGGER fights off all competition.

The track, featuring Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, also tops the Billboard Hot Ringtones, Pop 100 and Hot Rap Songs charts.

Meanwhile, Canadian rockers Nickelback, who crashed into the top of the album charts yesterday (12OCT05) continue their steady rise up the singles chart - the group's PHOTOGRAPH climbs to number two.

Mariah Carey's SHAKE IT OFF drops to number three, the Black Eyed Peas' provocative HUMPS moves up to number four and LIKE YOU by Bow Wow falls a spot to number five.

And Inxs' comeback is complete - the Aussie rockers' new release, PRETTY VEGAS, is their biggest US chart debut at number 37. The track is the band's first release with new lead singer JD FORTUNE, who won the chance to replace Michael Hutchence in the band after winning reality TV show Rock Star: INXS.
