Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West have been named on this year's TIME 100.

The news magazine published its annual list of the most influential people in the American world today (16.04.15)

and the couple - who have 22-month-old daughter North together - have both earned slots on the prestigious poll in the titans category.

Writing about Kim, lifestyle guru Martha Stewart said: ''[Kim] and her famous, entrepreneurial siblings - shepherded by a savvy, tireless matriarch - have also expanded the very definition of family.

''Despite the flamboyance, the self-aggrandisement and the self-promotion ... Kim comes across as an enviable big sister in a clan where everyone seems to love one another.''

Meanwhile, Tesla Motors CEO Eslon Musk penned a piece in praise of the confident rapper.

He wrote: ''Kanye West would be the first person to tell you he belongs on this list.

''The dude doesn't believe in false modesty, and he shouldn't. Kanye's belief in himself and his incredible tenacity -- he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut ('Thru the Wire') -- got him to where he is today.''

Other celebrities who feature on the list include Taylor Swift, Reese Witherspoon, Amy Schumer, and Kevin Hart.

As was previously announced, Bradley Cooper, Julianne Moore, Emma Watson Chris Pratt and director Lee Daniels are also mentioned in the TIME 100.
