Kanye West has cut short his trip to Greece to fly home to Kim Kardashian and baby North.

The 'New Slaves' rapper was on the island of Mykonos in the Mediterranean with friends, as welll as promoting his latest album, 'Yeezus', but dropped out after two days to go back to his girlfriend and two-month-old baby.

An eyewitness told Mirror.co.uk: ''Everyone around him seemed to be enjoying the day, laughing and joking but Kanye kept to himself. He didn't seem to be having much fun.''

Another source added: ''Kanye went to Greece for two days with business friends of his and Kim's. He's back home in Los Angeles now.''

The rapper has become fiercely protective of his family since welcoming North into the world in June, and has reportedly spent $1 million on matching anti-kidnap bullet and bomb-proof vehicles for the family to travel around Los Angeles.

The rapper has commissioned a £250,000 Chevrolet Kodiak - based on US President Barack Obama's Limo One - while Kim will be given an £800,000 armoured SUV called the Prombron Iron Diamond.

An insider said: ''Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths.

''He aims to leave nothing to chance. His priority is to get delivery of the vehicles, especially Kim's, before he begins his US tour in October.''

Besides the armoured cars - which were bought on the advice of Jay Z - Kanye is also insisting both he and the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star always have at least two bodyguards.
