As Kanye West fans eagerly anticipate the release of the G.O.O.D Music collaboration album 'Cruel Summer,' Kanye's long-term friend and sometime producer, No ID has confirmed that a solo album from Yeezy will follow after its release. It'll be the sixth long player from West and No ID reckons that hip-hop fans will be in for a treat.
"This is Kanye," the producer told MTV. "You know what to expect from the family. He hasn't missed yet, so don't expect him to miss." He added "It's what you expect and everything you don't expect." No ID explained that he hadn't worked on Cruel Summer, but that he is working alongside West on the follow up to 2010's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. West has been on a roll recently, what with his collaborative album with Jay Z and the 'Watch the Throne' tour that ensued and this forthcoming solo album is expected to continue that trend for the eccentric rapper who is keeping himself in the headlines right now by dating reality TV star Kim Kardashian. It's unclear exactly when the solo album will be released.
No ID is the Vice President of Def Jam Records and also has an illustrious career as a producer under his belt. He was responsible for producing Common's 1994 classic 'Resurrection' as well as Jay Z's 'Run This Town' and 'My Last' for BIG SEAN.
