Kanye West has fought off a charge from fellow hip-hop sensation Chris Brown to claim a seventh week at the top of the US singles chart.

Brown's RUN IT! charged up the Billboard Hot 100 from eight to two but couldn't quite topple West's GOLD DIGGER.

West's hit also claims a seventh week on top of the Billboard Hot Ringtones chart and a fifth week at the top of the Pop 100.

And, as well as topping the chart, the rapper also winds it up - his new single HEAR 'EM SAY, which features MAROON 5 star Adam Levine, enters the chart at 100.

Meanwhile, back in the top five, Nickelback's PHOTOGRAPH slips from two to three, the Black Eyed Peas' provocative MY HUMPS stays solid at number four and Mariah Carey's SHAKE IT OFF falls to five.
