Karl Lagerfeld has designed a hotel made entirely of chocolate.

The eccentric designer has created 'The Magnum Chocolate Hotel Suite' to celebrate the launch of Magnum Ecuador and Ghana ice creams, which are made with specially selected cocoa beans sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms in Ecuador and Ghana.

Using 10.5 tonnes of chocolate it includes a chocolate sculpture of French male model, Karl's Muse, Baptise Giabiconi, draped seductively on the chocolate bed.

Speaking about the hotel suite - which was created with French master chocolatier Patrick Roger - Karl said: "It has been an absolute pleasure to design the Magnum Chocolate Suite. My idea was to flirt with a mix of modern and traditional French influences to create something remarkable."

Patrick added: "What is important is precision, exactness and that's also why I decided to join forces with Karl (Lagerfeld) because it allows us to push our work even further, to be even more precise, and that is priceless."

Karl designed all the elements of the room, which Patrick then sculpted from 10 tonnes of chocolate.
