Kasabian have vowed to be more ''aggressive'' than ever.

The 'Fire' hitmakers claim guitarist and songwriter Serge Pizzorno - whose partner Amy is expecting their second child - has got ''angrier'' since becoming a dad to son Ennio, now two, and his mood will influence Kasabian's forthcoming fifth album.

Frontman Tom Meighan told the Daily Star newspaper: ''Fatherhood has made Serge angrier. We want to be more aggressive and better than ever.

Tom became a father for the first time last year and he admits looking after daughter Mimi has made it hard for him to immerse himself in music the way he used to because of his new ''responsibilities''.

He added: ''I'm playing dad here, I don't have time to download new music.

''I like Jake Bugg as he's from round the corner from us in Nottingham. It's nice to see someone like that succeed.

''I ain't got time to see rock bands now I'm a father - I've got responsibilities.

''I'm trying to change and get better. Before I was a father I was selfish. I could do what I wanted. Now it's different.

''I have to have some sort of level and behave and I'm doing OK and adjusting.''
