Kat Von D, the celebrity tattoo artist and star of the hit reality show 'Miami Ink', has lost all of her possessions, including her beloved pet cat, in a house fire, reports US Weekly. Von D was on tour promoting her new book 'The Tattoo Chronicles' at the time of the incident.
The 28-year-old announced the news on her Twitter page, posting a message that read, "My house burned down last night with my cat inside. Finally get to sleep away the remainder of today - hope tomorrow is gentler". She later added, "R.I.P. my little Valentine", before posting an image of her cat. The house went up in flames on Sunday 21st November 2010, and authorities are understood to be investigating the blaze. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived on scene at 11.23pm, and a representative said, "Firefighters encountered heavy fire with extreme smoke but they were able to get a knock down on the fire. There was no one home".
Renown for her spiritual outlook, Von D posted a further message on her social networking page that read, "In order to gain everything, you must lose everything. Positive energy feeds positive energy."
