Kate Beckinsale celebrated her 36th birthday with a star-studded bash in Los Angeles last night (28.07.09).
The stunning actress was joined by her director husband Len Wiseman, Eva Longoria Parker and David and Victoria Beckham at the exclusive XIV restaurant.
A source told gossip website X17online: "The group looked like they were all having fun, and it looked almost like a fashion competition - who had the most beautiful dress, the biggest diamonds. They ate for about an hour and a half and then Eva, Kate, and Len left out the front door and David and Victoria snuck out the back. The Beckhams were definitely hoping not to be seen."
Birthday girl Kate looked stunning in a simple black sheath dress, Gladiator-style stiletto heels and long-flowing locks, while Eva opted for a knee-length midnight blue gown and Victoria donned a black bodice.
The trio have become firm friends since David and Victoria moved to Los Angeles in July 2007.
Kate has often spoken of her admiration for Victoria and praised her down-to-earth sense of humour.
She has said: "We just hung out and went for nice dinners. Victoria is lovely and very down-to-earth. She loves taking the p**s out of herself, which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. We laugh a lot together."
