Reclusive music legend Kate Bush has thanked fans for their support during her concert run and lavished praise on her teenage son for his involvement as her London residency came to an end on Wednesday (01Oct14).

The Wuthering Heights star returned to the stage last month (Sep14) after a 35-year absence and won rave reviews for her lavish Before The Dawn show at the Hammersmith Apollo.

The curtain came down on the final show of the 22-date run on Wednesday, and Bush took the opportunity to thank everyone who bought tickets to her concerts, telling the audience, "We're all really sad as it's the last night. I'm going to miss everyone so much... Thank you again everyone for sharing this with all of us."

According to the Bbc, she also praised her 16-year-old son Bertie, calling the youngster "wonderful" for joining her onstage during the shows.

Bertie played a number of roles in the stage show, and Bush hailed him as the driving force behind her comeback in a message published in the show's programme, writing, "Without my son Bertie, this would never have happened. Without his encouragement and enthusiasm... I'm sure I would have backed out."
