Kate Hudson refuses to wear uncomfortable clothes.

The 'Almost Famous' actress is renowned for her fashionable choices but she insists she won't dress in an outfit that she doesn't feel good in because comfort is more important to her than style.

She told E! News: ''I've had people push dresses on me that are high-fashion, but if I can't walk or I'm uncomfortable, forget it. Women need to wear things they are comfortable and confident in.''

Kate, 34, also revealed her fail safe garment choice is a dress and she loves to wear white.

She said: ''If I'm running out the door, it's a dress, whether it's with boots or sandals or flip-flops, a sweater - even if it's cold and I wear a lot of white.''

Kate - who has sons Ryder, nine, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Bingham, 21 months, with fiancé Matt Bellamy - recently revealed she loves ballroom dancing because it is ''sexy'' and enjoys splashing out on new outfits to appear ''almost naked'' on the dancefloor.

She admitted: ''Oh my God, I love it. I've learnt the cha-cha and the tango.

''I'm having dresses made. Those flounces are totally my guilty pleasure. The whole thing's an excuse to go out on to the dancefloor looking almost naked. With sequins. It's so sexy.''
