Kate Middleton, her sister Pippa Middleton and their mother CAROLE MIDDLETON have complained to the Press Complaints Commission after two UK newspapers published pictures of the family on board a yacht in Ibiza, reports the Independent.
The family have decided to file the complaint in an attempt "to prevent further intrusions of their privacy", following the wedding of Kate and Prince William last month. The pictures in question featured Kate, younger sister Pippa and their mother Carole sunbathing aboard a yacht in 2006. Interest in the family has intensified since the royal wedding, with sister Pippa gaining considerable attention from the tabloid media. The Middleton's believe that the pictures are in breach of the PCC code, since the yacht moored off an island was in a location where the family "had a reasonable expectation of privacy". The family is also said to be concerned over a separate set of pictures of Pippa and her brother James, which have begun circulating in the United States. The PPC have already reached an agreement with UK newspaper editors not to "stalk" Kate Middleton, yet images of the new Duchess of Cambridge shopping at a Waitrose store appeared in several tabloids last week.
Kate Middleton and Prince William left the UK for their honeymoon in the Seychelles on Monday (9th May 2011), ten days after they married at Westminster Abbey.
