Katie Holmes has reportedly enrolled her daughter Suri into a Catholic school. The actress - who filed for divorce from Tom Cruise amidst reports that she opposed her daughter being educated in the Church of Scientology - has signed the 6-year-old up at the Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York, according to E! News.
It will be the youngster's first school experience, having been home schooled over the past couple of years. She should fit right in at the exclusive Manhattan establishment though, with past students having included Nicky Hilton and Lady GaGa. Just last week, Katie and Tom reached a settlement in their divorce, 11 days after the former Dawson's Creek actress first filed the papers. The actress's lawyer Jonathan Wolfe said in a statement, "The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life.We thank Tom's counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution".
Cruise has been in California working on his latest movie 'Oblivion' in recent days, though newly single Holmes has been all-smiles while running errands around New York. On Friday evening (July 13, 2012), she was snapped by the New York Daily News grabbing coffee with her mother in New York. She ended the day at the Two Little Hens bakery in the Upper East Side, after taking Suri to the Children's Museum of Arts in the South Village.
