Katie Price has split from her fiance Leandro Penna.

The 34-year-old star - who got engaged to the 27-year-old Argentine model last April after dating for almost two years since meeting him at the Oscars in 2011 - has confirmed they have amicably parted ways but insists 'X Factor' contestant Dan Ferrari-Lane had nothing to do with their split.

In a statement on her official website, Katie said: ''Leo and I have had a lovely fun time for a couple of years, we will always feel deep affection for each other, but sometimes relationships just run their course.''

The glamour model also revealed the couple struggled to cope with long periods apart.

She said: ''Pressures of work on different continents, natural demands of family ties, and careers, have meant we have spent a huge amount of time apart even when we were in the same country. This meant it was difficult for the relationship to move forward.''

The twice married model - who attended the premier of the new James Bond movie 'Skyfall' just hours before announcing the split - dismissed rumours linking her to 19-year-old District3 member Dan as ''ridiculous'' and branded the timing of her split from Leandro as a ''coincidence''.

She insisted her interactions with Dan, whom she is said to have been sending flirty texts, have been ''entirely innocent and platonic''.

Katie, who was previously married to Peter Andre and Alex Reid, said she will stay firm friends with her ex-boyfriend and even said his next girlfriend will be an extremely lucky girl.

She said: ''We really wish each other nothing but the very best and will remain best of friends, whoever he eventually settles down with will be a very lucky girl.''
