Katy Perry and John Mayer are believed to have ended their two year on-off relationship after recent reports that they were preparing to wed later this year.
The 29-year-old star was spotted wearing a ring on her engagement finger earlier this month and was reportedly preparing for a summer wedding to the 36-year-old singer, but it's now been revealed that she's ended the romance ''within the last few days'', according to E! News.
It is so far unclear as to what's caused the split as neither of the pair have spoken out about the reports.
Katy - who has been married once before to comedian Russell Brand - first started dating John in 2012, although they split briefly last March before deciding to give their relationship another chance.
The couple recently recorded their first duet, 'Who You Love', for John's latest album 'Paradise Valley' and whilst speaking about the collaboration, Kate said that she loved working with him because she was a fan of his even before they began seeing each other.
The 'Dark Horse' singer said previously: ''I've been a fan of John's for years before I got to actually kiss him.
''I've been such a fan, I think he's so incredibly talented and gifted and a genius songwriter. So to be a part of anything he was doing was just natural.''
