With her dyed-blue hair tied back in a ponytail, and dressed in a silver catsuit, the American pop singer performed her new single, which has been widely reported on in the media, as many of her supporters believe it to have been written about her former husband Russell Brand. Perry refutes the claims, saying that the song was written long before the couple split.
Adele built upon her Grammys and Brit Award success, taking home Album of the Year and Best Female International Artist at last night's event, triumphing over Lady GaGa and the late Amy Winehouse. Bruno Mars won the male equivalent, beating fellow nominees James Blunt and Chris De Burgh. The controversial singer Lana Del Rey also performed live at the awards ceremony, but did not take home an award, after the Best International Newcomer Award went to the Dutch jazz artist Caro Emerald and Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' won the Hit of the Year award.
