Katy Perry will perform at the MTV European Music Awards on November 10.

The 'Roar' singer will join the star studded cast at the event - this year held at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, The Netherlands - to perform her new single 'Unconditionally'.

In addition, Katy is nominated for the Best Pop and Best Female awards at the show.

She said: ''I'm so excited to return to the EMA stage! I have tailor-made a performance of a brand new song from [new album] 'Prism' to share with fans from around the world.''

The night will be hosted by comedian Will Ferrell in character as Ron Burgundy and a host of the nominees are expected to attend, including Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus, who are rumoured to either recreate - or even top - their momentous performance at the US version of the show, the MTV Video Music Awards, which saw plenty of twerking, tongue wagging, a referee outfit and some inappropriate gestures with a foam finger.

Justin Timberlake and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis lead nominations for the awards, with five each, followed by Miley, Robin and Lady GaGa and Justin Bieber, who each have four.
