Stunning actress Keira Knightley is grateful for digitally enhanced photographs, because the technique employed by newspapers and magazines disguises the acne she often suffers from.

The PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN star admits she has major issues with her appearance, so she is amazed she maintains a flawless image in pictures.

She says, "Airbrushing is sort of nice because I always get acne, so it's all incredibly nice when they take it out digitally.

"I wish they could do that for me in my every day life. It would be nice."

But she fears young girls are increasingly being presented with role models they cannot realistically emulate.

She argues, "If you've got an image like that, and you're presenting it as reality, then I'm definitely not too comfortable with that.

"I don't think that's nice because nobody can look that nice."
