Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman enjoy a "normal life" where their kids are their priority.

Country music star Keith - who has two daughters, Sunday Rose, two, and three-month-old Faith Margaret, with the 'Rabbit Hole' actress, who he married in 2006 - has revealed the pair love their simple life in Nashville away from Hollywood and insists they are no different from any other couple.

He explained: "We just have a normal life, we do normal things. Family is definitely a priority for us."

Although Keith claims to just be an ordinary dad when he is at home, he admits he does keep an eye on what he eats because he needs to stay fit for when he goes on tour.

He works out four times a week with a trainer and tries to eat "good, clean, quality" food, based around high protein meats and vegetables, although he will allow himself a treat every now and then.

He told People magazine: "It's not Rocket Science, right? I don't deny myself anything; it's calories in, calories burned. But I will devour an In-N-Out burger or Steak 'n Shake burger every now and then. Love it."

Keith has previously spoken about maintaining a balance between work and family life, saying: "I don't know if there's any secret to it. Everybody sort of finds their own way to keep their life balanced. I know for me, family is first and I just make sure that I spread my time amongst the things that I love to do as well. Balance is never achieved, it's just maintained. And so far I've been able to maintain it."
