A Scottish music festival featuring Kelis and Madness has been cancelled just weeks before the event.
The two-day Northern Lights festival was due to take place at the end of July (11) at Seaton Park in Aberdeen, with acts including Paloma Faith, Tinchy Stryder and The Waterboys on the bill.
But organisers have been forced to axe the festival due to poor ticket sales.
A message posted on the event's website reads, "We are very sorry to announce that the Northern Lights Music Festival 2011 has been cancelled. To all those that supported the festival, thank you. All tickets will be refunded at point of sale. With very best wishes, the Northern Lights Team."
Organiser Jim Sandison adds: "This has been a heartbreaking decision to make but it is something that has simply been taken out of our hands."
