Cover Drive are having a blast touring with Kelly Clarkson.

The 'Twilight' hitmakers are picking up tips while supporting the former 'American Idol' winner on the UK leg of her tour, and take every opportunity to talk to her because they think she is a real sweetheart.

Singer Amanda Reifer exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''Touring with Kelly Clarkson has been amazing so far. She's an amazing singer and performer as well so we get to learn from watching her, but it's also a great opportunity to just share a stage with her and see her fans and win new fans over from those performances.

''It's usually so busy backstage, but sometimes we do see her in the cafeteria and we have a quick catch up. She's very down to earth, very friendly. She's exactly what you'd expect. A Southern US girl; she loves to laugh and have fun, she's really sweet.''

The band - also made up of drummer and rapper T-Ray Armstrong, guitarist Barry 'Bar-Man' Hill and bass player Jamar Harding - hail from Barbados and like to bring their fun-loving spirit to the backstage area where they constantly surprise each other with pranks.

Amanda laughed: ''I'm used to hanging out with guys so I like it, it's a lot of fun. There's a lot of jokes, pranks, a lot of teasing all the time.

''We haven't played any on Kelly - we don't feel right doing that yet - but we play pranks on each other. For instance when someone's in the bathroom, we'll run in and throw cold water on them. It's pretty funny.''
